Dress Up!

One of Ayden's favorite things to do is find random clothes and other things around the house and bring them to me to put on him. I just wanted to show you a few of the outfits he has put together for himself. I really hope his taste in clothing improves when he gets older!

Weekend Fun With Family

Last weekend Zac (Zebs Brother) and his family came to visit. Ayden had so much fun with Whitney and she was so cute with him. They would walk around the house holding hands and he would follow her everywhere. Zeb and Zac play with the kids in the leaves and would drag them around in the wheelbarrow, they thought that was the funnest thing ever. It seemed like they were always laughing. Avery is now sitting up and trying to crawl. She's such a beautiful, chunky baby and I just wanted to squeeze her the whole time she was here. She loved her uncle Zeb and would laugh hysterically at him. Zac and Lisa said that they had never seen her laugh so hard. Ayden had a blast with his cousins and was sad to see them leave. It was a fast trip but we enjoyed the visit and look forward to seeing them at Christmas.

Happy Halloween

The original plan that I had for costumes was to have Ayden be a Monkey and Siarah be a banana. But like with evertthing that I do I waited till last minute so all the costumes were sold out and I had to settle for a Bunny and a bananna costume. Ayden had a great time. I took him to our wards Trunk or Treat and he was a little confused at first, but once he figured out that people were throwing candy into his bag he was all about it. Plus he knew how cute he in his costume.

Walking In Daddy's Shoes

Ayden LOVES his Daddy and feels very strongly that whatever dad does he also needs to do. So when dad got his new snowmobile boots and was trying them on Ayden insisted that he too needed to put them on. He couldn't move his legs at all while in them but sure thought he was cool when they were on. He spent most of the rest of the night having us put them on and take them off.

Gammy came to visit!

Gammy Toni came to visit for the weekend. It was a short trip, but we really enjoyed having her here. Ayden loved playing with her and chasing her dog around, and Siarah loved being held all the time. We look forward to seeing her again soon.

Taste Of His Own Medicine!!!

Many of you know that Zeb talks in his sleep and that I have been startled awake on many occasions. Well, both of my kids have inherited this lovely trait from there dad. In fact the first time that I ever heard Ayden laugh it was while he was sleeping. So last night while I was up feeding Siarah I heard a high pitch, loud scream from Ayden. I had heard him making noise many times so I just figured that he was doing this in his sleep. Unfortunately for Zeb he was not so familiar with Ayden's sleeping habits. He was sleeping peacefully right beside him and woke up in horror. Thinking that something was wrong with him he quickly jumped up to make sure everything was okay and had not fallen out of bed or something. He soon realized that everything was fine and Ayden was sleeping peacefully. Finally! Now Zeb knows how I felt all those times. Needless to say I have been laughing about it all day.

The Best Sister Ever!

Because my mommy is millions of miles away my sister Arah has come to take care of me this week. It has been so nice to have her here to help. Gavin has been a great help too. He's kept Ayden very entertained and is enamored with his new cousin. Thanks for taking care of me sis!

Ayden has been great with her! I guess I didn't give him enough credit for how well he understood everything. He loves giving his little sister lots of kisses. We feel so blessed to have this sweet girl join our family.

Trip to Michigan

We got back from visiting Shawn and Lisa in Michigan. Lisa and Shawn were shocked when I told them that I was planing to visit and even more shocked when I actually booked the plain ticket. They never thought that I would actually make it out for a visit. That could be because I have never gone out to visit them no matter where they lived since they have been married. Plus right now I am 7 months pregnant traveling without my husband with an 18 month old and I also took my 4 1/2 year old nephew Gavin. Needless to say that at the airport I got a few looks, I could not make out weather they were looks of sympathy or thoughts of how crazy I must be. I am glad that I decided to take Gavin, he was a great traveler, and helped entertain Ayden, plus it gave me an extra seat so Ayden had more room to move around. Gavin is a great traveler but not that great when it comes to being sympathetic. He is a very particular child and gets grossed out very easily, at the landing of the plain ride out there I got sick and ended up throwing up into one of the barf bags. Luckily there was a nice women sitting by me that held Ayden while I pucked. When I was done I looked over to Gavin and he had a disgusted look on his face and said "Why did you do that? DON'T do it again! It GROSSED me out!" I love the things that come out of that kids mouth! They are always so funny.

We had a great time while there. Gavin and Keeley entertained each other and were not ready to part at the end of the week, Gavin kept asking if we could bring Keeley home with us. Ben and Ayden were interesting to watch together. They acknowledge each other but do not quite understand how to interact. They both always wanted the others toy. They also both had a habit of hitting. after Ayden spent a few days in constant time out he finally figured out that he should stop hitting except when defending himself or a toy he had, Ben however preferred the hit a run method when ever he had he opportunity. I picked up Ben to show Lisa how Ayden reacts when I hold another child. He immediately started screaming and crying like he was going to die. When I put Ben down Ayden stopped crying but then felt it was necessary to go and cuss out Ben for letting me hold him. Lisa found it very entertaining and wished me luck with the new baby. To my joy by the end of the trip Ayden stopped freaking out when I would hold Ben. I have hope! Ben is Huge and boy that kid can eat. He is such a cutie and I loved seeing him and Ayden together. It is so nice that he has a cousin his same age.

Shawn was amazing while I was there and he watched the kids all the time so that me and Lisa could spend some time together. He probity put Ayden to sleep more than I did when we were there. I have such a great brother in law! Thanks Shawn for your hospitality and baby sitting skills. It was also nice to spend some one on one time with Lisa, I cant remember the last time we have been able to do that. If only she loved us enough to live by us instead of Shawn's family. They just bought a beautiful new home, so I don't think that our family should keep much hope that they will ever be moving closer. Thank you Lisa and Shawn for showing us a great time. We love you and look forward to seeing you in November

What have we been doing all summer!!!

This post is dedicated to all those that have been begging me to do one. So obviously updating my post is not one of my strong points. Although my blog does not reflect it we actually have been buisy this summer. During the 4th of July we went to California and spent some time with Family. All Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents were fairly warned a week or 2 before arival that Ayden is a very rambuctious and buisy child and to make sure that all valualbles were out of his reach. Needless to say many of them underestimated him, but quickly learned once we arrived. Somehow we did end our vacation with out distroying anyones valuables. We stayed with Tim and Lisa and thank them for there hospatality. Ayden of course loved seeing Grandma Gibby and swimming in her pool. He loved the beach and for some reason thinks that sand tastes good. I love his age and was able to enjoy watching him experience new things for the first time. We tried taking him to Lego Land but unfortunatly he is still to young to ride any of the rides. They did have a water area that he was able to enjoy but that was about all he got to do for the $100 we got to spend to go in. All in all it was a great vacation and we loved seeing everyone.

Before we went to California, Laura's three kids Christina, Jared and Analisa came to stay with us for a week while Laura went on a cruise. Ayden had a tone of fun with them and all the kids were great! I cant believe how grown up and responsable Christina is. While they were here we went to the Zoo, the petting Zoo, Lava Hot Springs, and a Jungle Gym/Arcade. It was nice to spend some time with them and Ayden missed them once they left. They are all special amazing children and we love them so much. I cant say that I feel the same way about there dog puffs who unfortunatly was here with them I thought that I liked all doggs until I spent some time with that one.

snowmobile season is over

Well I figured since Julee gets to blog all the time I could a little bit. We had a great year of sledding with quite a few days of 3 ft fresh powder. Just incredible. Because of the high snowpack I had my last ride Saturday June 20th. Despite riding over sagebrush, creeks, and dirt once we got up to 9000 ft elevation there was still decent snow. This is a photo of one of the chutes I climbed. You can see my track going up through it. For reference the lone rock sitting by it's self to the left of the begining of the narrow part of the chute is the size of my snowmobile. Spring time snow isn't the funest to play in but the best to climb things like this because there is zero avalanche danger. There is also a link of me and some of my buddies riding here if you don't have anything else to do :) Worth watching though:

Visits from the family

We have had lots of visitors lately and Ayden is loving it. First his Gammy Ross came and stayed with us for a week and she made sure to spoil him and he figured out just how to work it. He said quite a few new words while she was here including stick, dog and hi. then unfortunitly for Ayden she had to got home. After Visitors leave we always have a few difficult days because Ayden goes thrue attention widthdrawl but then luckily we got a visit from Zeb's brother Zac and his Family. I must say that there visit was a great eye opener for me. It both calmed and created some concerns that I have been having about what the situation is going to be like with Ayden when the new baby comes. It was amazing to see the positive changes that whitney had made since her 5 month old little sister Avery has come. Whitney was so good with Ayden, she was great about sharing and would always bring him toys to play with, they had so much fun chasing eachother around. It was so nice to see how well they played together and it helped me to see that hopfully having a sibling will help him develope those same characteristics. The problem that I saw is that Ayden would scream and cry like he was going to die everytime that he saw me holding Avery. He is in this mommy stage now that unless I have 100% of my attention of him he thinks the world is going to end, and obviously this could create some major problems when the baby comes. We had a wonderful time with Zacs family and they have such beautiful little girls, they were both Angels while visiting and we look forward to seeing them again soon. Well Ayden has had a few more days of attention widthdrawel but luckily his cousins Christina, Jared and Analisa are going to be comming to visit in a few days and I am sure he is going to love that!

We are having a GIRL!

OK, ok so obviously it has been a while since my last post (as you can tell by all my moms pleeding comments)and yes I should have been doing better cause things have been buisy and lots has been happening. The main thing is that we are going to be welcoming a new baby girl into our home on October 10th, so far everything looks healthy and strong and we are excited about Ayden having a little sister. Although I must say that I am a little scared about not having my mom there once the baby comes, I am glad that she is were she is, but there is still that selfish side of me that wants my mommy there to take care of me. Gratfully my wonderful sister Arah has offered to take my moms place and I am sure that I am going to have lots of support from Zebs family also.

Aydens 1st Birthday

I cant believe that my baby is 1! The year has passed so quickly! We were in Utah at my sister Arah's for his birthday. She was nice enough to offer to let me throw it at her house. Ayden was sleeping for 1/2 of it. I finally woke him up and after taking a little time to wake up he really enjoyed himself. He loved playing with all of his friends and cousins. He also enjoyed getting to dig into the cake. He had his one year doctors checkup when we got back and the Doctor said that he looks healthy and happy. For weight and height he is only in the 25th %. For his head he is in the 75th %. Big head and small body! Perfect in mommy's eyes! I'm guessing that the weight has to do with the fact that he is impossible to feed solids. Hopefully this is something he will over come soon, but that's probably just wishful thinking. All in all it has been one of the best years of my life he has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. I look forward to all of the future time and moments that are to come. Although I just wish it would slow down a little.

Aydens First Christmas

We spent Christmas with my family and stayed with my sister Arah. My Sister Lisa and her family also stayed there needless to say it was a full house, but it was great to see everyone. Ayden loved being with all the little kids and kept following Gavin and Keeley around thinking he was one of the beg kids cause he could walk, Gavin and Keeley were not as excited as Ayden was about this fact and were pertective over there toys that Ayden thought he was suppose to stick in his mouth. It was also the first Christmas that we were without Mom and Dad, they were missed (especially for making Christmas dinner) but we are so glad that they are where they are and know that they were well taken care of.

Aydens First Time Sledding

Unfortunately for me Ayden seems to have inherited his fathers fearless attitude. Now instead just of one "child" to worry about I have two. Even though it was cold Ayden fully enjoyed the experience and was much more daring than his mother. In fact his expression never even changed going down the hill with his Daddy.
